Rockies fans have been lining up all day to get a hold of the $4 Rockpile tickets for tonight’s game. Located in the upper deck of center field, Rockpile tickets 2-1/2 hours before game time but fans started line up early this morning.
The Rockpile has the few remain seats available in the 50,449-seat Coors Field for the weekend. The stable of Rockpile seats go on sale at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for the 6 p.m. game and 10:30 a.m. Sunday for the season finale at 1 p.m. and are on a first-come basis. That policy will continue in a division series but may change if there is a championship series.
Camping out is not allowed at Coors Field, and ticket officials are asking no one line up before 7:30 a.m. each day when Lot A opens.
Tickets for a potential division series this week are currently on sale and are $10 for the Rockpile to $75 for infield boxes.
Tickets for a NLCS, which would be the week of Oct. 7, will go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. There is a presale for season holders starting Sunday. NLCS tickets will range from $30 for the Rockpile to $100 for infield boxes. A lottery system will be used at Coors Field.
All tickets are available at Coors Field, Rockies Dugout Stores, King Soopers, or 1-800-388-ROCK. There will be refunds for any games not played.
