Rebekah Johnson is a senior at East High School. She returned last month from Paris after completing a month of study as dance assistant to Christopher Huggins, International Choreographer of the Year. He asked Rebekah to accompany him to the 2007 Chateau Roux Dance Festival.
This year, Rebekah trained with Roger Jeffrey of the New York Metropolitan Opera Ballet and New York City Ballet Company. She attended the 2007 American Academy of Ballet Summer of Excellence at Purchase College in New York and was a 2007 finalist for the Juilliard School’s Summer Dance Intensive. Rebekah is a 2006-07 Academy of Colorado Ballet member and was a 2006 cast member in “The Nutcracker.” She was a two-year member of the Cleo Parker Robinson Ensemble.
Rebekah has a 4.0 grade-point average. She attended the Denver School of the Arts from 2001 to 2005, where she was enrolled in honors classes and was in the National Honor Roll Society. Her final audition for the Juilliard School in New York is in November.
