Authorities have named the man who was killed in an accident in which a police officer on an emergency call struck a car he was riding in.
Ulises Solis, 38, died of trauma injuries following the accident 11:30 p.m. Sunday near 17th Avenue and Syracuse Street, according to Michelle Weiss-Samaras, chief deputy coroner.
An officer was responding to a call for help from another officer when he drove south on Syracuse with emergency lights and struck an Isuzu Rodeo, said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
