DENVER—A sold-out crowd is attending the Great American Beer Festival in downtown Denver this weekend, celebrating the diversity of craft beer.
More than 40,000 people will be sampling nearly 2,000 kinds of beer.
Judges also will be reviewing beers over the three-day event which ends tomorrow night. They’ll choose winners in 75 different categories.
Craft beer has been a fast-growing segment of the overall beer industry, though it is still a small segment. The Brewers Association reports craft beer makes up roughly five percent of total beer sales in terms of dollars.
