Frontier Airlines and United Airlines, the two largest carriers at Denver International Airport, have each issued waivers of certain change fees for travelers to Southern California who want to change their plans.

Frontier Airlines is allowing travelers going to or from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego Oct 22 through Oct. 27 whose tickets were purchased by Oct. 22 to make one change to their travel plans without a change fee. Travel must be rebooked by midnight Oct. 27.

United Airlines is waiving certain change fees for travelers at Burbank, Carlsbad, Los Angeles, Ontario, Oxnard, Palmdale, Palm Springs, San Diego, Santa Ana, Santa Barbara or Santa Maria airports who are travelling Oct. 22 through Oct. 25 and who purchased a ticket by Oct. 22. Changes must be made within seven days of the original departure date.

United also strongly encouraged travelers to check the status of their flights before leaving for the airport.
