A teenage skier was injured this morning when he hit a tree at Arapahoe Basin.
The 15-year-old was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony Central Hospital, said Pam Henderson, a spokeswoman with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at about 8:25 a.m. on a lower section of the RamRod run, said Kristin Lee, the ski area’s spokeswoman.
Lee said the skier is from Canada and that he was “race training” when the accident happened.
The boy’s name was not released, and details on his injury and medical condition were not available.
