Tea with author Best-selling travel author Patricia Schultz will speak at an afternoon tea at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Denver Woman’s Press Club, 1325 Logan St. Refreshments will be served. Sleigh ride Copper Mountain’s guests are invited to take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered woods. New Year’s Eve train The historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad is launching its inaugural New Year’s Eve train and ultimate party package. The train’s culinary team will prepare special courses for the gourmet dinner as the train winds through the spectacular Royal Gorge. The New Year’s Eve celebration will be on board the train’s elegant dining and glass-topped vista dome cars, departing the Santa Fe Depot at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and returning at 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1. The price is $199 per person (based on double occupancy), including accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Colorado Springs, transportation from the Crowne Plaza Hotel to the train depot, elegant dinner, train ride, entertainment, party favors and champagne to ring in the New Year.
