Jay Cutler is turning the corner and becoming one of the NFL’s best young quarterbacks. And Andre Hall and Selvin Young have come out of nowhere – neither was drafted – to stabilize the tailback position with Travis Henry hobbled by injuries.

So why are the Broncos 5-6? Simple. They give up too many points. Way too many.

The Broncos have allowed 35-plus points four times in 11 games. That’s tied with the winless Dolphins for the most in the league. The rest of the AFC West has allowed 35-plus a combined total of three times, none by the Chiefs.

It’s always something with these Broncos. If it isn’t turnovers that lead to opponents’ points, it’s issues against the running game. Either that or special-teams breakdowns. If you saw , you know what I’m talking about.

The Bears, who had cracked the 30-point mark once this season, aren’t supposed to score 37 points on anybody, any time, anywhere. But they did against the Broncos. Remember that the next time somebody wearing orange-colored glasses tells you they’re a playoff team.
