The following have the credentials to be inducted into the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame. Eaton baseball coach Jim Danley will begin his 38th year with a 619-146-2 career record, seven championships, 15 finals appearances, 25 consecutive Colorado playoff appearances and multiple hall-of-fame and coach-of-the- year honors. Greg Browning (deceased) was a three-sport star at Trinidad through 1939, played at the University of Denver, had a stint with the New York Giants, and taught and coached at three Denver Prep League schools. Larry Brunson was a three-sporter at Montezuma-Cortez through 1967, starred at Mesa State and Colorado — where he teamed with Cliff Branch — played for three NFL teams, including the Broncos, and stars today in a wide range of community projects. Delta’s Dan Cholas did it all, from all-state player to teacher, coach, athletic director and game official. Kathy Francis-Nunnery was renowned for pioneer coaching in multiple female sports and most levels of administration. Burlington’s Darryl Monasmith was a three-time wrestling champion who also sang in the choir and dabbled in drama; he now officiates. Frank Montera has been a sweet southern-area music teacher and kids’ tunes proponent for more than 35 years.
