DES MOINES, Iowa—The Powerball jackpot will be worth an estimated $26 million on Saturday since no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 1, 8, 15, 21 and 55. The Powerball was 41 and the multiplier was 3.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $20 million jackpot.
Two Power Play tickets, sold in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, matched the first five numbers only to win $600,000.
The top prize in Colorado was $10,000 for one ticket that matched the Powerball plus four other numbers, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
