Dinosaur Jr. played one of the louder shows of 2007 when it visited Denver in June. The reformed indie rock godfathers (including bassist Lou Barlow) will play the Ogden Theatre tonight with Awesome Color. 9 p.m. $25.

Brian Polk’s Book Release at the Larimer Lounge tonight celebrates his novel “Turning Failure Into Ideology” with music from Big Timber, Killfix, Mustangs and Madras and Jim Yelenick, comedy from Adam Cayton-Holland and Greg Baumhauer and readings from Polk and Charlie Fascano. 8 p.m. $8.

Bell Biv DeVoe may seem a grin-inducing R&B anachronism, but the group’s hit-addled debut, “Poison,” is overdue for rediscovery. The New Edition-bred trio plays the Ogden Theatre Saturday with Coolio and Dae Dai. 8 p.m. $30.

Wu-Tang Clan’s off/on-again Front Range shows will showcase songs from the group’s recently released “8 Diagrams,” which is gathering solid reviews. Tuesday at Boulder’s Fox Theatre and Thursday at the Ogden Theatre. 9 p.m. $37.50-$40.
