A 41-year-old Walt Clark Middle School teacher has been charged with sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl, Loveland officials say.
Michael Gaylor of Loveland was charged in Larimer District Court on Thursday for a sexual assault that allegedly happened a month ago, said Sgt. Benjamin Hurr, Loveland police spokesman.
He is being held in the Larimer County Detention Center in Fort Collins, Hurr said. Authorities are not yet releasing his photograph.
There have been no other complaints or allegations against Gaylor, Hurr said. The teenage girl did not attend the school, he said.
School officials sent a letter home with students notifying parents of the incident, Hurr said.
