Oakland Raiders running back Justin Fargas was unable to celebrate his first 1,000-yard rushing season because he sprained his right knee shortly after reaching the milestone in Sunday’s 21-14 loss to Indianapolis.
Fargas injured his knee on the drive that gave Oakland a 14-13 lead over the Colts. He stayed in the game after the injury and scored on a 2-yard run to give the Raiders a lead they were unable to hold.
While coach Lane Kiffin said he feared the injury was to the ACL, Fargas said it was a much less serious MCL injury. He will undergo an MRI today to make sure.
