GOLDEN — City Councilwoman Mary Weaver has agreed to drop her lawsuit against the city. She contended Golden improperly closes meetings.
The agreement reached this week states the City Council will consider a proposal to set up a procedure that requires specific actions for conducting executive sessions.
In return, City Attorney Jim Windholz has agreed not to pursue an ethics complaint against Weaver for allegedly receiving an improper loan and advice on the lawsuit.
Both parties will pay their own court costs and legal fees, the proposed agreement says.
