FORT CARSON, Colo.—About 170 Fort Carson soldiers are expected to start the new year back at their home post, returning from Iraq early Tuesday.

The soldiers are from the Second Brigade Combat Team, Second Infantry Division, which has been in Iraq for 15 months.

Post officials say a welcome ceremony is planned for 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The brigade has 3,600 soldiers. They began returning in October, and the last are expected to be home in January.
