Colorado freshman forward Brittany Spears was named Big 12 rookie of the week Monday for her performance Friday in Colorado’s 65-53 victory over Pepperdine.
Spears scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting and had seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and one blocked shot against the Waves to help lead the Buffaloes to their 10th straight win — a first since the 1994-95 season.
