LAKEWOOD — Senior Division Chief Kevin Paletta has been named Lakewood’s fifth police chief in its 37-year history.
Paletta, a 27-year veteran of the 400-member department, is the head of the investigation division. He also has served as division chief and commander of patrol, support services and planning and analysis.
City Manager Mike Rock, who announced the appointment Tuesday, described Paletta as “a bright, articulate guy who I am confident will continue our good, solid approach to respecting Lakewood’s traditions while still being constantly interested in trying new approaches. He’s a top-notch guy.”
Paletta succeeds Ron Burns.
