CENTENNIAL, Colo.—Denver Broncos tight end Daniel Graham won’t be charged after his arrest on suspicion of harassment against his former girlfriend.

Prosecutors told a judge Friday they won’t file charges. Graham was arrested Jan. 11 after his former girlfriend, also the mother of his child, told deputies he struck a bedpost during an argument about the sale of their home. She also said she told him numerous times to leave, but he refused.

Graham’s lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, said Graham was arrested before a full and fair investigation was complete.

“He didn’t commit any kind of crime,” Steinberg said. “But how does he get his reputation back?”

Graham declined to comment.

Graham went to high school in Denver and played for the University of Colorado. He spent five seasons with the New England Patriots before signing a five-year deal with the Broncos last March.

Broncos third-string quarterback Darrell Hackney was also in court Friday on charges of driving under the influence, failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without proof of insurance. His arraignment date was pushed back to Feb. 28.
