
The father of a 10-year-old girl killed in a shootout at their Denver apartment has been formally charged in connection with her death.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey announced today that Leo “Mickey” Cisneros, 29, was charged with child abuse resulting in death, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of more than 8 ounces of marijuana.
His daughter Auralia was shot in the head Nov. 29 after several gunmen knocked on the door of the family’s apartment at 4711 W. Tennessee Ave.
The DA’s office also announced today that an additional co-defendant, Christopher Adams, 18, has been charged with being an accessory to a crime and intimidating a witness.
Juvencio Hernandez, Trivi Trujillo, Joshua Rojas and Manuel Talamantes were all arrested earlier and charged in the case.
Cisneros remains in custody in the Denver County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
