DENVER—Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace missed a game against Denver on Saturday night because of a sprained right ankle.

Wallace was injured in a 127-96 loss to Golden State the night before.

Charlotte coach Sam Vincent said he expected Wallace to be out about a week. The forward is averaging 21.2 points and 6.2 rebounds this season.

“We want to be more cautious than aggressive,” Vincent said. “We’re not going to push it. We’re going to give him the time to rest.”

The Nuggets were without Marcus Camby (left knee bruise) and Eduardo Najera (rib injury). Camby has been bothered by the knee the past few games and Najera was injured taking a charge in the fourth quarter against Memphis on Wednesday.
