CASTLE ROCK—Hikers in southwest Douglas County discovered a body partially covered in snow and ice at what appeared to be a campsite.
Sheriff’s officials say the hikers were walking on an all-terrain vehicle trail near a campground Saturday when they found the body.
Investigators determined it had been there for some time. They were trying to determine the person’s identity and what happened to the person.
