DENVER — Energy companies have received 80 citations from state and federal regulators who say oil-filled pits leftover from drilling endangered wildlife in northeastern Colorado.
Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission interim director Dave Neslin says it’s unknown whether the citations will result in fines. He says in some cases the violations were corrected.
