The Colorado Division of Wildlife again is seeking landowners to enroll in the Big Game Access Program in southeast Colorado. In the second year of a three-year pilot program, the program focuses on deer and pronghorn hunting on private lands in game management units 116, 117, 120, 121, 122, 125, 126 and 127. The agency pays landowners to allow public hunters on their lands. Payment ranges from 25 cents to $3 per acre, depending upon the nature of the property and length of hunt.

Application deadline is Feb. 20. Phone the DOW office in Lamar, 719-336-6600.

Commissioner meets public.

Wildlife commissioner Tim Glenn will conduct two open meetings to allow public comment on various fish and game matters. The first will be 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Division of Wildlife education building, Highway 50 west in Cañon City, the second 6 p.m. Feb. 22 at the DOW education classroom in Colorado Springs, 4255 Sinton Road.

Wyoming goes Internet.

The weekly video outdoor news program produced by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department now is available online at . The program provides an updated view of the state’s wildlife affairs. The website will be expanded to include a variety of outdoor shows available on demand. There is no subscription fee for the basic program.
