A female student at North High School escaped an apparent abduction attempt as she walked to school Monday morning, Denver Police said Tuesday.
The girl first saw the older model light-blue Cadillac four-door earlier at West 34th Avenue and Alcott Street, when men in the vehicle made cat calls at her, police said.
The Cadillac circled the block and a man jumped from the backseat and grabbed the girl from behind. The girl slid out of her jacket and ran to a nearby residence for help, as the Cadillac sped away.
Thee girl described her attacker as a 19- to 21-year-old Hispanic man, 5-feet-9-inches tall and about 175 pounds. His hair was in braids or corn rows, she told police, and he was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Other passengers were also Hispanic males about the same age. Another man who got out of the car was described as about 5-feet-7 inches Tall, 195 pounds, with dark hair cut short on the sides. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue pants and black shoes, police said.
