DENVER—A woman accused of repeatedly hitting her children on a Frontier Airlines flight has been ordered not to fly without court approval for the next three years.

Tamera Jo Freeman, 39, was sentenced Friday to three years of supervised release.

Freeman was arrested in July after passengers on a flight from San Francisco to Denver said they saw her hitting her children, then ages 4 and 2, and swearing at them, according to a criminal complaint.

A flight crew member told police that Freeman also became angry when the flight attendant would not serve her another drink.

Freeman told the judge that she was without her medication for bipolar disorder that day.

She pleaded guilty to one count of interference with a flight crew. Her children now live with relatives in Hawaii.
