The Colorado Eagles snapped a five-game road losing streak Sunday with a 6-0 victory at New Mexico in the Central Hockey League.
Goalie Sebastien Laplante had 26 saves and recorded the first shutout for the Eagles this season. Riley Nelson led Colorado with two assists and two goals.

The No. 16 University of Denver women’s lacrosse team didn’t have much luck opening its season in North Carolina.
After dropping its season opener on Friday to Duke, Denver fell to 0-2 with a 15-9 loss at No. 8 North Carolina. The Pioneers were led by senior Megan Carver, who scored four goals, and junior Karen Morton, who had her second straight hat trick.

Jessie Schoepflin had three hits as the Northern Colorado softball team (2-7) won its finale in the Ten Construction Tournament at Riverside, Calif., with a 5-3 victory in eight innings over San Diego.

The Northern Colorado wrestling team lost its final home meet of the season to No. 24 Cal State Fullerton 25-16.
