Here’s a certain sign that fishing season is just around the corner: There will soon be sightings of several dozen angling experts and a horde of enthusiasts at the Bass Pro Shops Spring Fishing Classic.
The annual event begins with a Friday appearance by three top bass pros — Rick Clunn, Alton Jones and Skeet Reese — and the father-son fly-fishing team of Gary and Jason Borger. It continues with a succession of coldwater and warmwater seminars and demonstrations through March 16.
The Friday-Sunday schedule includes three weekends and features a rich lineup of local and visiting celebrities. These include:
