PUEBLO—The former business manager of a Roman Catholic parish has been charged with stealing $64,000.
The Chieftain identified the woman as Stephanie Annemarie Mizer, 34. The newspaper said she used a credit card given to her for personal expenses.
She worked at Our Lady of the Assumption Church until May.
The newspaper said Mizer, who now lives in Lakewood, was quoted in a police affidavit admitting misusing the credit card. She also allegedly admitted forging checks.
She is free on $20,000 bond. There was no telephone listing for a Mizer in Lakewood.
