Getting your player ready...

Even though it’s still winter, there’s no time like the present for kids to learn about “Sweet, Sweet Soil” at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Tuesday. Part of the Gardens’ Seedlings series for budding gardeners, “Sweet, Sweet Soil” is an hour-long, hands-on workshop that discusses the basics of plant life. Soon our cold-weather landscape will start to wake from its long nap – so get digging. And who likes to get nice and dirty more than little kids? 9:30 and 11 a.m. Tuesday. Denver Botanic Gardens, 1005 York St.; 720-865-3500. The class is $8 for members and $10 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required: Visit botanicgardens.org, or call 720-865-3580 to sign up.
