The Broncos are out of the Shaun Rogers talks. He is headed to Cincinnati.

The Lions traded Rogers to the Bengals this afternoon. The Broncos had been exploring the possibility of trading for Rogers for a week, but never really got into the game. The Lions were hoping to get Denver cornerback Domonique Foxworth in return in a potential trade.

With Carolina trading Kris Jenkins to the Jets today, the only two established defensive tackles available through trade are the Jets’ Dewayne Robertson and the Jaguars’ Marcus Stroud. The Broncos have thought about both, but at this point it appears the cost would be too high for Denver.

Meanwhile, Broncos free-agent defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban is on his way to Oakland for a visit this afternoon. He is the first Denver free agent to make a visit and could join former Denver teammates Gerard Warren and Cooper Carlisle with the Broncos’ heated rival.

Ekuban’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said last week that Ekuban would go to free agency, but stay in touch with the Broncos. Ekuban has said he’d like to return, but will see what the market has to offer.

Meanwhile, linebacker Ian Gold is expected to be released today along with receiver Javon Walker.
