COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Former steer wrestling world champion Lee Graves underwent knee surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Graves tore a patella tendon in his right knee at a Tucson, Ariz., rodeo on Feb. 18, the he Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association said Friday.

Graves, of Calgary, Alberta, won the world championship in 2005 and was reserve champion last year. He entered the 2008 season with career earnings of $1.2 million.
