Jabril Banks finished with 15 points for the Bears (13-16, 6-10 Big Sky), who led 39-36 at the break.
Seven of Kingman’s points came during a 16-2 run early in the second half that put Northern Colorado ahead 58-40 with 13:58 remaining.
The Bobcats (15-14, 7-9) responded with a 14-2 surge that was punctuated by a Bobby Howard layup at 9:32 to cut the Bears’ lead to 60-54.
MSU didn’t come within 10 points in the last 10 minutes of play. Casey Durham led the Bobcats with 17 points.
