U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter, D-Colo., had some fun at the expense of Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff on Friday at the state Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Denver. Romanoff, who backs Hillary Rodham Clinton for president, was auctioning off a ski day with Perlmutter, who backs Barack Obama. Perlmutter said he had told Romanoff, ” ‘You’re term-limited. Where’s your future?’ I said, ‘Get involved with a presidential campaign.’ He did. He picked the wrong person.” The ski day, by the way, went for $1,100.
