DENVER—The University of Colorado says its new president will earn an annual salary of $378,000, the same as predecessor Hank Brown made.
Bruce Benson assumes the post of presidency Monday.
A Board of Regents committee and outside legal counsel negotiated details of compensation for the 69-year-old oilman and CU alumnus.
Benson will get a $49,500 housing allowance, plus standard health care, retirement and other benefits offered to all university employees.
Before Brown became president, former President Elizabeth Hoffman received a $400,000 salary and the use of a house and car.
