Temperatures could rise above 50 degrees today for the Denver metro area, but snow flurries could fall by nightfall, forecasters say.
“Most people won’t see any snow at all,” said Carl Burroughs, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The Denver metro area will have partly sunny skies today, Burroughs said. At night, there is a 20 percent chance of snow with only a trace at most expected. The best chance for snow is in the foothills, he said.
Temperatures will be in the 40s Sunday, rise to the 50s by Monday and be in the mid-60s by Tuesday, he said.
Scattered snow showers are expected today in the mountains with up to an inch of snow.
Tonight between an inch to 2 inches will fall in the mountains, Burroughs said. There is a 30 percent chance of snow in the mountains Sunday, he said.
