The outlook on injured Avalanche left wing Ryan Smyth continues to seem encouraging.
The team said Smyth has resumed skating, though he did not make the road trip. He suffered a concussion and slight shoulder separation March 1 against the Los Angeles Kings.
It is possible Smyth could return to the lineup by the weekend.
