The Colorado Crush and Clear Channel have not renewed their radio partnership, leaving the Crush without a radio deal this season.
Crush owner John Elway and Kris Olinger, director of AM programming at Clear Channel, said the contract was not renewed by mutual agreement because of poor ratings.
“It just wasn’t working to the station’s advantage and ours,” Elway said. “The costs were prohibitive.”
The Crush and Grand Rapids are the only Arena Football League members without a traditional radio agreement in the 17-team league.
Four Crush games are scheduled for broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 130.
Those games are March 22, at Chicago, 6 p.m.; April 4, Los Angeles at the Pepsi Center, 7 p.m.; April 11, at Cleveland, 5 p.m.; and April 19, at Kansas City, 4 p.m.
