GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A 16-year-old boy is due in court for sentencing next week after pleading guilty to his role in the break-in and burglary of a sporting goods store in Grand Junction.

Broc Riddle entered his plea Monday to second-degree burglary. His agreement with prosecutors calls for Riddle to receive a four-year deferred judgment and sentence, subject to a judge’s approval.

Riddle and another 16-year-old boy were accused of breaking in to a Gene Taylor’s Sporting Goods store and stealing 31 guns last November. The teens were arrested after a four-hour standoff with SWAT officers.

Riddle is free on a $7,500 personal recognizance bond. Sentencing is set for March 21st.

The other teen pleaded guilty to attempted burglary and had his case moved to juvenile court.

He’ll be sentenced Wednesday.
