CHICAGO — United Airlines pilots voted to approve a 0.5 percent assessment for up to six months in the event of a merger announcement, according to the Air Line Pilots Association at United in a message to members.
Nearly 71 percent of pilots who voted were in favor of the measure. The funds would be used to protect the pilots’ seniority list.
