GILCREST, Colo.—A 15-year-old boy suspected of writing threats on a restroom stall at Valley High School has been kicked out of school and could face criminal charges.

Gilcrest police found the boy late Thursday after a tip from other students. Prosecutors in Weld County were reviewing the case.

Police Chief Joseph McIntyre says a search of the school turned up no other problems.

Superintendent Jo Barbie says the student will not be allowed to return to school. His case will also be reviewed by administrators to determine any further action.

Police did not want to release the wording of the threat, but Barbie says it was “a very threatening message.”
