Avalanche star Peter Forsberg will return to the lineup Monday night when the Avs play the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
Forsberg missed a week with a groin injury, but proclaimed himself fit to return after practice Sunday.
Defenseman Adam Foote (hip) is “likely” to play, coach Joel Quenneville said. But Foote will make a final determination after the pregame warmup.
Defenseman Jordan Leopold (concussion) practiced at full speed Sunday, and could be in the lineup as well.
