Denver Police and the FBI are looking for two men investigators say robbed over two banks in Denver today.

The Compass Bank at 4988 Federal Blvd. was hit at 1:15 p.m. when one man passed a note to a teller and demanded cash. His suspected accomplice stood watch from the center of the lobby.

At 2:04 p.m. they used the same approach to get away with cash from the Wachovia Bank at 2807 South Colorado Blvd.

The FBI and Denver police did not disclose how much was taken in each hold-up.

The robbers are both Latino. The man who demanded cash was described about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, about 25 years old, with brown hair in a crew-cut style. He had a close-trimmed goatee and thin side burns and possibly a tattoo on the right side of his neck, according to authorities.

The man was wearing a a gray sweatshirt, brown khaki pants, white sneakers and dark brown oval sunglasses.

The other man could be slightly younger, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build. He had a similar beard, mustache and sideburns.

He was wearing a gray hoodie, white baseball cap, dark pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information can contact the FBI at (303) 629-7171. A substantial reward is available for information leading to an arrest.
