BOULDER, Colo.—A Boulder fraternity has been expelled from the University of Colorado-Boulder, after nine pledges were arrested for allegedly causing extensive damage at an Estes Park motel.

CU’s Interfraternity Council announced the expulsion Monday, about a week after the national headquarters of Delta Chi said it would put the Boulder chapter on probation until spring 2009.

Delta Chi was temporarily suspended after the February 17th arrests. A police report said officers were called to a Super 8 Motel, where they found destroyed furniture in two adjoining rooms, large holes in the walls, blood and vomit throughout, ceiling fans ripped down, and a coffee pot full of urine.

Damage was estimated at more than $10,000.

Delta Chi has until March 30th to appeal.
