DENVER—Denver International Airport has set its 13th consecutive monthly record for passenger numbers.

Airport officials said Tuesday that nearly 3.8 million people used the airport in January, 1.6 percent more than January 2007.

Denver Aviation Manager Kim Day says she expects passenger numbers to continue to grow, but at a slower rate as airlines cut costs by reducing capacity.

The airport set a record last year with nearly 50 million passengers, up 5.4 percent from the year before.
