BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Broomfield police now say an employee of a Hobby Lobby store who claimed she was bound and sexually assaulted at work made up the entire story.
Authorities say Lori Koehler was arrested Tuesday for false reporting.
Koehler is accused of telling police February 20th that a man came into her workplace after she arrived, bound her to some of the store’s shelving, and sexually assaulted her.
Officers responded to the building after a 911-hangup call from inside the store.
Police said in a release today that a lengthy investigation had led authorities to the conclusion that Koehler’s report was false.
Police spokeswoman Sergeant Colleen O’Connell says no one else is being sought in connection with the case.
