PUEBLO — Pueblo police are trying to identify a man shot dead at a party early Sunday morning.
About 1:25 a.m. officers answered a call and found a man shot in the chest in an apartment.
Andrew Sandoval, 24, who lives in the apartment, told police he hosted a party and was attacked by several men he didn’t know.
They left, Sandoval told police, but then one man returned and tried to resume the fight.
Sandoval told police he shot that man and immediately dialed 911.
Police said in a news release that Sandoval was not arrested.
They dead man carried no identification.
