Jerry Gilmore, gallery and museum director at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities since December 2002, is stepping down, the center announced today.

Gilmore curated such exhibitions as the “Dog and Pony Show” in 2006 and the soon-to-end “More Big Beautiful Things.” He also oversaw the center’s public art program, including the selection of Kendra Fleischman’s sculpture “Dancing on the Stairs,” which will be unveiled in June.

According to a press statement, the center plans to consider restructuring the director’s position before seeking a replacement for Gilmore.
