The Denver Police bomb squad investigated a suspicious cylinder that was spotted near the city jail tonight but determined it was not a danger.
Police said that the jail had received a threat earlier in the evening and that a passerby saw the cylinder near the intersection of 13th Avenue and Delaware Street after 8 p.m.
The intersection was blocked off for more than one hour and no prisoners were transported to the jail during that time.
