The Rockies did the bling thing up right.

“Gorgeous,” Jeff Francis said.

“It’s beautiful, something I would actually wear,” Garrett Atkins said.

“They did a great job and they put their hearts into making it,” Todd Helton said.

Newcomer Scott Podsednik, who won a World Series ring with the White Sox in 2005, said of the Rockies’ 2007 National League championship ring: “I don’t know much about jewelry, but it is an incredible ring.”

With a Coors Field crowd of 42,865 looking on, the players, coaches and staff got to see their rings for the first time during a ceremony before Sunday’s Rockies-Diamondbacks game, which Arizona won 5-2 in 10 innings.

The rings are made of white gold and each has a total weight of 1.25 carats. The ring has 69 diamonds and is adorned with a purple amethyst “CR” on top.

On one shank, there are eight stones, representing the team’s seven playoff wins and its dramatic 13-inning wild-card tiebreaker win against San Diego. That shank also has the word “Rocktober.”

The second shank has each player’s last name, along with his uniform number and the NL logo.
