VAIL — The skier who died after an accident on a Vail Mountain run on Saturday has been identified as a resident of Mexico.
The skier was Martin Rodolso Fierron, 32, said Eagle County coroner Kara Bettis. He was the 17th skier or snowboarder to die on Colorado’s slopes this year.
He was pronounced dead at the Vail Valley Medical Center after an accident on an intermediate run at Blue Sky Basin. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
